These terms cover how you can use this website and the free resources on it. The plain-English summary is up top. The formal version is underneath, because that’s the part that has to hold up if it ever matters.

The Short Version

  • Use the site and free resources for your own business. Please don’t copy, resell, or rebrand my content, frameworks, or tools.
  • The site is provided “as is.” I work hard to keep it accurate and running, but I can’t promise it always will be.
  • Paid work has its own agreement. Retainers and workshops are covered by the contract or invoice you sign, plus our Refund and Purchase Policy.
  • Michigan law applies.

1. Who We Are and Accepting These Terms

This website, jennmcgeehan.com, is operated by Jenn McGeehan LLC, a Michigan limited liability company (“we,” “us,” “our”). By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

2. Who Can Use This Site

This site is intended for adults (18 and older) and for business purposes. By using it, you confirm you’re at least 18.

3. Our Content and Intellectual Property

Everything on this site, including text, blog posts, graphics, photos, logos, the 20-Minute Backend Tune-Up, and our frameworks, belongs to Jenn McGeehan LLC or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You’re welcome to:

  • Read, use, and print content for your own personal or internal business use.
  • Share links to pages and blog posts.
  • Quote short excerpts with clear credit and a link back to the original page.

You may not, without written permission:

  • Copy, republish, sell, license, or distribute our content, tools, or frameworks.
  • Rebrand our materials or present them as your own, including in courses, client deliverables, or paid programs.
  • Use our content to train AI models or build competing products.

4. Free Resources

Free resources like the Backend Tune-Up are provided for your own use. Your answers to the Tune-Up stay in your own browser unless you choose to email or send them to us.

5. Purchases and Services

Paid services, including the Monthly Strategic Partnership and the VIP Marketing Workshop, are governed by the proposal, contract, or invoice you agree to at the time of purchase. Purchases are also covered by our Refund and Purchase Policy. If anything in a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement wins.

6. Acceptable Use

When using this site, please don’t:

  • Break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.
  • Try to hack, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or the services connected to it.
  • Submit false information, spam, or harmful code through our forms or booking tools.
  • Scrape or copy the site in bulk.

This site connects to services run by other companies, including Moxie (scheduling and client portal), Flodesk (email), Stripe (payments), Google, Meta, and Microsoft. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We aren’t responsible for third-party websites or services, even when we link to them.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

This website and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always up to date. Results are not guaranteed; see our Disclaimer.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Jenn McGeehan LLC and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of this website or its content. Our total liability for any claim related to the website will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Liability for paid services is governed by your service agreement.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless Jenn McGeehan LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the website or your violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to these Terms or this website will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Ottawa County, Michigan, and you agree to that jurisdiction. Before filing anything, we both agree to try to resolve the issue informally by email first. Most things can be sorted out with a conversation.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
